Smooth Threads
Smooth threads are used to help tighten and smooth the skin by boosting collagen production. Smooth threads are composed of polydioxanone (PDO), which are dissolvable sutures that are extremely thin, such as hair strands. When surgeons noticed the improvement in skin quality due to increased collagen surrounding sutured incisions, the idea of placing this material under the skin came about!
